The Inverted Pool is Nazgol Ansarinia’s most personal artwork to date. After looking and finding a house in Tehran, Nazgol faced the other side of inspiration for her many artworks – demolishing – by the restoration of an old house in the center of the city. After discovering the floor plans and sections for renovation from her long collaborator Roozbeh Elias Azar, she saw an inverted pool by the section of the building at first glance and found herself stepping into it.

the Inverted Pool is a printed Oblique projection of the original house’s model, and a to-scale installation built specifically for Ansarinia’s inaugural solo exhibition at Argo Factory.
